The government formed a recruitment agency named as UPSC. This team is meant to select the appropriate candidates for the central services. They are also known for conducting the NDA in which exam is conducted for three services such as the Army, the Navy and the Air Force. NDA-I and NDA-II are the two exams conducted every year by the UPSC. The examination months are April and August.
It is the academy, where candidates are trained together before they join pre-commissioning training in their respective service academies.
Training at NDA
Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra is known as the first tri-service academy in the world.
It is the leading training institute and the center where junior leaders from different states are selected based on their examination score and trained for Indian armed forces. They trained all the candidates, both physically and mentally and teach them moral values so that they became able to cope with all the life issues and challenges.
The aim of training at NDA is to make ready all the candidates for the future battle field so that they tackle all the issues come in their path.
Training procedure:
The course of the syllabus for their study includes science, technology, arts and military subjects. It is a three year course which is further divided into six terms. They are associated with Jawaharlal Nehru University as a cadet is given a Bachelor’s Degree from JNU. There are a number of activities that are involved in this training program are drilling, swimming, horse riding, a full gamut of games and adventure activities. It is the process of conversion in which a cadet is converted both professionally and personally into a potential Officer and a gentleman.Thereby, NDA coaching is required.
What is the purpose of providing training?

Are women’s are eligible?
No, girls are not eligible for NDA examination only unmarried boys are eligible to fill exam. If you are interested in the armed services, then you have to clear your graduation. After completing your graduation in any stream you are eligible for filling the examination. The Combined Defense Service (CDS) is the way to join the defense, which is an exam for the Officers Training Academy.
Eligibility criteria for NDA:
· PCM is must as the major subjects in the higher secondary education (12th) from any recognized board.
· Only male candidates are eligible.
· Your age should be within or on 16.5–19 yrs.
· Must be unmarried
· Indian nationality is essential.
· Must be physically and mentally fit, there must be medical backlogs.
